The Colorlight Z6 LED video controller combines video processing, splicing and sending for rental displays and high-resolution LED walls. The V2.2 specification lists 16 Gigabit Ethernet outputs, an 8.30-million-pixel loading capacity and up to three adjustable display windows.

4K inputs and HDR processing
Connect sources through HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, four DVI inputs and two 3G-SDI inputs. The V2.2 signal-format table specifies input limits by connector and color format. HDMI supports 10-bit input under the conditions below; DisplayPort and DVI are listed as 8-bit.
HDR10 display is supported through HDMI 2.0. DP, DVI and SDI do not support HDR display in this specification. Cropping, scaling, splicing and window overlay allow content to be arranged within the controller’s output area.

Choosing the right screen configuration
Check the LED wall’s total pixel count and its width and height separately. A maximum width or height does not mean an 8192 × 4096 screen fits within the 8.30-million-pixel capacity. Also confirm the source connector, timing and color format, particularly when using 10-bit HDMI or HDR10.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many pixels can the Colorlight Z6 control?
The Z6 V2.2 specification lists 8.30 million pixels, with a maximum width of 8,192 pixels or maximum height of 4,096 pixels. Your layout must also remain within the total pixel capacity.
Does the Z6 support 4K at 60 Hz?
Yes. The V2.2 signal-format table lists HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 inputs up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz in 8-bit. HDMI 10-bit at that resolution is limited to YCbCr 4:2:2 or 4:2:0.
Which Z6 input supports HDR10?
HDMI 2.0 supports HDR10 display. The V2.2 specification states that DP, DVI and SDI do not support HDR display.
How many windows can the Z6 display?
It supports up to three windows with overlay. Window position and size can be adjusted within the controller’s display area.
Is Z6 low-latency processing available for interlaced video?
No. V2.2 lists low-latency support for progressive scanning signals and excludes interlaced signals.
