The Colorlight X4s is an LED video controller for HDMI and DVI sources, with four Gigabit Ethernet outputs and a maximum loading capacity of 2.60 million pixels. It supports source switching, cropping and scaling for small LED display installations.
HD inputs and screen adjustment
One HDMI and two DVI inputs accept signals up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz. The V1.3 specification lists 8-bit RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 for these inputs. Screen offset, brightness and color-temperature adjustments help position and tune the image.
The X4s supports single-device or dual-device redundant backup. USB is used for control and cascading, with up to 64 devices listed in the specification. Audio output requires a multifunction card.

Check the display layout
The 4,096-pixel maximum width and 2,560-pixel maximum height are separate limits. The screen must also stay within 2.60 million pixels; those two dimension limits do not mean a 4096 × 2560 screen is supported. Check source timing and the intended backup arrangement before installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Ethernet outputs does the Colorlight X4s have?
The X4s V1.3 specification lists four Gigabit Ethernet outputs.
What screen size can the X4s control?
The maximum loading capacity is 2.60 million pixels, with maximum width 4,096 pixels and maximum height 2,560 pixels. Your screen must satisfy the total capacity as well as the dimension limits.
What is the power consumption of the X4s?
The linked V1.3 specification lists 10 W power consumption and an AC 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz supply.
Does the X4s support 4K input?
Its specified maximum input resolution is 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz through HDMI or DVI. It is not specified for 4K input.
Can X4s controllers be cascaded or used with backup?
Yes. V1.3 lists USB control and cascading for up to 64 devices, plus single-device or dual-device redundant backup. Configure the connections for the selected backup arrangement.
