The Colorlight X4e is an LED video controller with four Gigabit Ethernet outputs, a 2.6-million-pixel loading capacity and three-picture display. It accepts SDI, DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI sources, with Genlock input and loop output for synchronized display systems.

Source switching and three-picture layouts
Switch and scale video sources, then adjust the size and position of three pictures on the LED screen. HDMI and DVI loop connections pass those signals onward. The X4e also supports HDCP 1.4, brightness and chromaticity adjustment, and improved grayscale at low brightness.
Use USB IN to configure the controller from a PC and USB OUT to cascade another controller. The audio input sends audio to a multifunction card; it is not a built-in speaker output.

The maximum screen width and height are separate limits, not a 4096 × 4096 loading specification. Check both the screen dimensions and total pixel count when planning the cabinet layout.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many pixels can the Colorlight X4e control?
The X4e has a total loading capacity of 2.6 million pixels across four Gigabit Ethernet outputs. Maximum width and maximum height are each 4096 pixels, within that total capacity.
Does the X4e accept 4K video input?
The supplied specification lists DP, HDMI and DVI input up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz, and SDI input at 1080p. It does not list 4K input support.
Can the X4e show three pictures at once?
Yes. It supports three-picture display with independently adjustable picture size and position.
Does the X4e support Genlock and signal looping?
Yes. It has Genlock input and loop output for synchronization. HDMI and DVI also have loop outputs.
Where can I download the X4e specification and user manual?
Both PDFs are available in the download section below. Use the specification for interface and electrical details and the user manual for setup instructions.
