The Colorlight X8E is an LED video controller with 4K source inputs, eight Gigabit Ethernet outputs and a maximum loading capacity of 5.24 million pixels. It combines source switching, cropping, splicing and scaling with six adjustable display windows for multi-source LED wall layouts.

4K source connections and multi-window control
Use HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2 for inputs up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. Two HDMI 1.4 and two DVI inputs provide additional source connections, with the V1.0 specification listing up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz for these inputs. All four interface types are listed with 8-bit RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 support.
The six display windows have adjustable position and size. Color management, brightness and color-temperature adjustment help configure the image for the display. Genlock synchronization, independent audio input/output and HDMI/DP audio extraction are also supported.

Planning your LED wall
Check total pixel count as well as width and height. The 16,384-pixel width and 8,192-pixel height limits do not describe a single screen resolution that fits within the 5.24-million-pixel total. Input resolution is a separate source-signal limit.
Before ordering, identify the source connectors, screen resolution, window arrangement and audio requirements. Use the specification and manual below to check the complete configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the pixel capacity of the Colorlight X8E?
The specified maximum loading capacity is 5.24 million pixels. Screen width and height limits are separate constraints, so the total pixel count must also be checked.
Which X8E inputs support 4K at 60 Hz?
Use the HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2 input for the specified 4K input capability. The HDMI 1.4 and DVI connections have their own input-format limits; check the specification for the source timing.
Can the X8E crop and scale input video?
Yes. It supports video switching, cropping, splicing and scaling, with adjustable window position and size.
Does the X8E support audio input and output?
Yes. It has independent audio input/output and supports audio extraction from HDMI and DP sources.
How many video windows does the X8E support?
The V1.0 specification lists six display windows with adjustable position and size. Plan the source connections and window layout alongside the screen’s total pixel count.
