Colorlight VX10 LED Video Controller
The Colorlight VX10 processes 4K and HD sources for LED display systems used in rental, stage and broadcast projects. Ten Gigabit Ethernet outputs and two 10G optical ports provide output and backup options. The linked VX10 V1.1 specification lists a maximum loading capacity of 6.5 million pixels.

Inputs, Layers and Preview
Connect video through HDMI, DVI, 3G-SDI or the supported Fiber1 input mode. HDMI 2.0 accepts up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. Three layers can be cropped, scaled and positioned independently, while the HDMI 1.3 output serves preview or video-output use.

Plan Backup and Operating Mode
Set the operating mode and optical-port roles to match the signal path before commissioning. Ethernet port backup and controller redundancy are supported. Optical copies and backup outputs do not create an additional independent pixel budget.
HDR is supported. The documented zero-latency function is associated with Bypass mode, so a design using scaling and layers needs its own latency check. HDMI supports audio input; audio output is provided through a multifunction card.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Ethernet outputs does the Colorlight VX10 have?
It has ten Gigabit Ethernet outputs. The linked V1.1 specification lists a maximum total loading capacity of 6.5 million pixels.
What do the two VX10 fiber ports do?
In output use, Fiber1 copies the ten Ethernet outputs and Fiber2 copies or backs them up. Fiber1 also has an input role in supported configurations. Configure the ports for the intended operating mode.
Can I preview the VX10 output on an HDMI monitor?
The VX10 includes an HDMI 1.3 connector listed for preview or video output. Check the supported output format against the monitor you plan to use.
Is zero latency available with all processing enabled?
The specification states that no latency is achievable in Bypass mode. Do not assume the same result for a signal path that uses video processing, scaling or layers.
Does the maximum width mean the VX10 can drive a 16,384 × 8,192 screen?
No. Maximum width and height are separate dimension limits. The screen must also fit within the total loading capacity stated for the relevant device configuration.
