Colorlight S6F LED Video Controller
The Colorlight S6F is an HD LED display controller with HDMI and DVI inputs, six Gigabit Ethernet outputs and three optical fiber ports. It handles up to 2.3 million pixels and accepts video up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz. The specifications below apply to the V1.2 version.
HD video input and LED screen control
HDMI and DVI each have a loop output for passing the source signal onward. EDID settings help configure the input, while the controller supports screen splicing and synchronized cascading across multiple units. Dual USB 2.0 interfaces provide configuration and cascading, and a Fast Ethernet port supports network control.
Brightness and color temperature adjustment, improved grayscale at low brightness and HDCP support are included. The specification lists compatibility with conventional Colorlight receiving cards; match the receiving-card configuration to the actual screen before installation.

Planning the fiber connection
The optical modules are optional. For a fiber installation, confirm the required modules and matching optical transceivers before ordering. The V1.2 specification lists a 2 km module; transmission distance is not unlimited.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many output ports does the Colorlight S6F have?
The V1.2 S6F has six Gigabit Ethernet outputs and three optical fiber ports. The single-mode optical modules are optional.
What is the maximum S6F screen resolution?
Its total loading capacity is 2.3 million pixels, with a maximum width of 4096 pixels or height of 2560 pixels. These width and height limits do not mean it can drive a 4096 × 2560 screen.
Does the S6F support HDMI and DVI loop output?
Yes. It provides one HDMI input with an HDMI loop output and one DVI input with a DVI loop output. Maximum input resolution is 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz.
How far can the S6F transmit over fiber?
The V1.2 specification lists an optional single-mode SFP module with a 2 km transmission distance and a dual-LC connector. Check the module and receiving equipment used in your installation.
Can multiple S6F controllers be cascaded?
Yes. Dual USB 2.0 interfaces support configuration and cascading, and the S6F supports synchronized splicing across multiple devices.
